大家有想過 Google 變成人家子公司的時候嗎，想必多只是茶餘飯後的閒聊才會談到，但 Google 在今天拋出令大多人驚訝的消息，它還真的變成一間名為 Alphabet 公司的子公司了，不過公布這個新決定是前 Google 執行長 Larry Page，未來的他，將會是 Alphabet 這個新公司的執行長。

Larry Page（上圖，Larry Page 出席 2013 Google I/O，法新社資料照）今天在官方部落格公佈消息，在信上開頭便提及變簡單解釋了成立 Alphabet 的理由：

如同我和 Sergey Brin（Google 創辦人之一，現任 Alphabet 總裁） 11 年前創辦時所寫道，'Google 從來都不是個常規下所理解的公司，我們也沒有想要變成這樣的企業'「As Sergey and I wrote in the original founders letter 11 years ago, “Google is not a conventional company. We do not intend to become one.」

這次 Google 便將原本創投、Google X 等事業群自原本體系分出，未來都會在 Alphabet 公司（網址：abc.xyz）旗下獨立操盤並進行運作。原本資深副總 Sundar Pichai（上圖） 接任未來 Google 執行長。而 YouTube 則時維依附在 Google 旗下以子公司形式獨立運作，執行長同樣還由 Susan Wojcicki 擔任執行。Google 在 NASDAQ 使用的股票代稱「GOOGL」與「GOOG」也同樣繼續使用。
